Artist Statement
Since the age of 5, I’ve always loved the arts, both visual and performing. Fruity Pebbles cereal was my favorite cereal to eat and repeatedly trace the front cover of the box as well. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education/Fine Arts from Purdue University. I have been teaching art in several locations across the U.S. from Las Vegas to North Carolina while displaying my artwork in prestigious locations such as Michael Jordan’s Restaurant, The Luxor Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, and other well-known venues. I’ve won various awards in national competitions and local exhibitions as well. My areas of expertise are portraits, military subject matter, pets, landscapes, seascapes, automobiles, murals while loving the challenge of drawing/painting whatever I see, dream or imagine. I thoroughly enjoy oil paint while continuing to work in pastel, charcoal, color pencil and pencil. I also do commissioned work on a personal platform as well as large/small businesses.
A Bit About Me
My greatest joy comes from sharing my talents and skills with the youth and watching them grow as artists. I’ve been fortunate to have an incredible high school art teacher, a Purdue University Art Professor, and a Purdue University Art Education Professor who have profoundly impacted my life with their knowledge, wisdom, and training.

There’s nothing quite like taking a walk or run through nature with my wife and our dog. I also enjoy keeping my mind sharp through physical fitness, conditioning my body for whatever challenges the day may bring. Every day, I strive to achieve what seems “impossible” both physically and mentally.

Additionally, I serve as a board member for Combat Cookies, a nonprofit organization that bakes and ships fresh cookies to US military members deployed overseas to boost their morale.
